Siphamandla Choma with his uncle, Johannes.

Brigadier Leonard Hlathi of the Provincial SAPS told www.mobserver.co.za this week that the investigation is ongoing and police have made no arrests yet.

“It’s premature to comment on the status of the investigation, and all we can say for now is that various statements are being looked at and no decision has been made on whether any arrests will be carried out”.

Siphamandla Choma made headlines all over the country following allegations that he was assaulted by a school principal after being accused of stealing R150.

The Department of Education is yet to release full details of an investigation that they conducted which looked into this matter.
